Reflection 15/05/13

The past couple of lessons in creative media we have been working on the ideas and planning for our film. In my group there is Isabella, Julian and Shae and our task is to make the starting 3-4mins of a film noir film. We have decided to to one about a girl called Emma who hops out of bed one night and finds her sister dead on the floor in the living room. She has dirty clothes on and blood on her clothes but the question is did she kill her or was there another murderer? A detective quizzes her about the murder and you discover the story through constant flash backs and memories that Emma displays. The film is going to be the theme of suspense with the sub theme being film noir. We have done the costumes and props list, the plot list and the start of the shots list so far. We are planning to begin filming the office scenes next week and then filming the actual murder at Bella's house next saturday. I feel that we all have the same image in our heads of what the final product is going to look like and that it will work really well. In class last lesson Mr. Andrews ran us through an activity of where he gave us a what, a when, a where and we had to make up the rest. This activity showed us the many different ideas we all have from even being given the w's. Our group is trying its hardest to make sure that we all have the same film playing through our heads and that the film will be the best we can make it!
